Prestigious American music school comes to Vietnam to find talented artists

For young artists, Berklee College of Music (USA) or Berklee School of Music is always the goal they aim for, as this is one of the largest music training places in the world, the "cradle" that produces big names such as Quincy Jones, John Mayer, Charlie Puth... with more than 300 Grammy awards, 40 Emmy awards...

This is also the place where many Vietnamese artists decided to spend time studying even when they were very famous, had many shows and had a large audience: saxophone artist Tran Manh Tuan and musician Duc Tri studied here, singers Doan Trang, Thu Minh, Lam Truong... also came to attend the summer course for professional artists.

Most recently, An Tran (stage name antransax), daughter of artist Tran Manh Tuan, won a full scholarship and became a global ambassador of Berklee College. Anna Truong, daughter of musician Anh Quan, also participated in many Hollywood film projects, worked with Taylor Swift... after graduating here.

Every year, Berklee College of Music spends a large sum of money, about 110 million USD, to fund scholarships for artists from all over the world, accounting for about 45% of the total number of students in the school.

Recently, the news that Berklee College will hold an audition in Vietnam has excited many young artists, because previously, domestic candidates had to travel to Singapore, Hong Kong... to audition. The audition took place on September 14 and 15 at Sax'n Art Club (HCMC), thereby showing that this prestigious school has begun to pay attention to the vibrant and talented Vietnamese music market.
