According to the announcement of the University of Finance and Marketing (UFM), the school will organize a field trip to the headquarters and training facilities of UFM from October 16 to October 31, for new students of the 21st undergraduate course (course 24D) of all training programs of the school.

Students who do not visit the school will have their training points deducted.

The school's attractions include: the main campus in Phu Nhuan district, the district 7 campus and the Long Truong campus (Thu Duc city).

The school requires new students to travel independently and gather at the lobby of the headquarters and school facilities 15 minutes before the scheduled time. Students in classes who do not attend will have their training points deducted.

The school also requires participating students to wear UFM uniform, student ID card, shoes, sandals with straps, long pants (for men), pants or skirts above the knee (for women)...

Immediately after the school announced the news, many students and parents reacted, "thinking it was an announcement for students to visit the school for career guidance."

It also believes that this tour program is not suitable for university students who are mature and capable of taking responsibility for their own studies.

"Perhaps this is the first university in the country that requires students to visit its own school. Although the school announced the registration requirement, it stipulated that students who do not participate will have their training points deducted.

"I don't know where the school based this unreasonable regulation," one student was upset.

Besides, most of the new students of the school come from other localities and have just come to Ho Chi Minh City to study, so many of them do not have motorbikes and are not familiar with the roads, so they are very worried when the school requires them to visit facilities that are very far apart.

A parent wondered: "My child is in the integrated program and was assigned by the school to study at the District 7 campus with students in the full English program for 4 years. Why does the school force students to visit the Long Truong campus?"

Will cancel the program

Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online on October 11, a representative of the University of Finance and Marketing said that because the school currently has many training facilities, with the desire that all students of the school clearly know information about the school, there is a plan to organize a program to visit and experience the headquarters and training facilities of UFM.

"The program is organized on the basis of students voluntarily registering. However, after 5 days of announcement, up to now, very few students have registered to participate.

According to information from the academic advisor, because students are busy studying and lecturers are also busy teaching, it is difficult to carry out this tour program.

Due to the number of registrations not being enough to hold the event, the school has decided to cancel this program," the school representative added.
