A Hanoi "explodes" in music and national pride

In recent days, Hanoi has truly "exploded" with many national-scale art programs. The highlight of the series of events is the political art program "Fatherland in the Heart" organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with Hanoi People's Committee on the evening of August 10 at My Dinh National Stadium, attracting up to 50,000 spectators. The program recreated the heroic historical milestones of the country over the past 80 years with revolutionary songs praising the Fatherland. Especially the flag-raising ceremony with tens of thousands of people wearing red flags with yellow stars singing "Tien Quan Ca" - the National Anthem, created a wave of emotion in the hearts of the public.

At the same time, on August 9 and 10, Vietnam Television organized two major programs “V Concert - Radiant Vietnam” and “V Fest - Radiant Youth” at the National Exhibition Fair Center, attracting tens of thousands of spectators. Also at this location, on the evening of August 23, Vingroup Corporation joined in the program “8 Wonder: Moments of Wonder”, with the participation of many international and Vietnamese stars, attracting 50,000 spectators.

Previously, on August 17, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission organized the program "Proud to be Vietnamese" at My Dinh National Stadium, with more than 30,000 spectators singing together in an atmosphere of pride and solidarity.

Hanoi City hosted two programs with its own unique imprint: "Hanoi - From the historic autumn of 1945" at August Revolution Square on the evening of August 15 and "Hanoi - Forever shining Vietnamese aspiration" on the night of August 31 at the National Exhibition Fair Center with music, light, 3D mapping performance art and paragliding combined with brilliant fireworks.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also offers the public two completely free major programs: the Concert “Vietnam in Me” at the National Exhibition Center on August 26 and the special art program “80 Years of Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness” on the evening of September 1 at My Dinh National Stadium.

On the evening of September 6, at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Relic Site, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission continued to bring the audience a big festival with "Rock concert - Vietnam's Heart", with the participation of many famous bands, performing revolutionary songs, songs of the homeland and country in a youthful and powerful way.

Towards building a "Vietnamese Spiritual Festival"

Over a month, nearly 10 major concerts, hundreds of thousands of audiences joined in the rhythm, creating an unprecedented artistic picture in Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general. After each performance, social platforms were flooded with positive shares about the program. Journalist Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper - the organizer of the political art program "Fatherland in the Heart" shared: "This is not only an art program, but also a symphony of patriotism, connecting heroic memories with the dynamic present and aspirations for the future".

Associate Professor Dr. Bui Hoai Son, a full-time member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society, also said that the core point that makes national concerts resonate is the ability to awaken collective emotions. That is also the foundation for Vietnam's cultural industry to grow, aiming towards the model of many countries that have successfully turned music festivals and cultural events into driving forces for economic development.

Meritorious Artist Do Thanh Hai, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television, said: “Organizing large-scale concerts is VTV’s strategic direction to actively participate in the chain of creation and development of the cultural industry.” According to Meritorious Artist Do Thanh Hai, the difference between recent concerts with tens of thousands of audiences is the direct participation of state agencies, localities and national media, contributing to creating a wave of large-scale, professional art, changing the face of Vietnam’s performing industry.

Through monitoring public opinion on the organization of recent concerts, which showed a very good social effect, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh directed the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with the General Directors of Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, and Vietnam News Agency to urgently study and report to the Prime Minister a plan to maintain and promote concerts with innovative content, encourage the creativity of artists and program makers, apply modern performance technology and research the name "Vietnam Spirit Festival". The Prime Minister's direction also requires selecting suitable regions, provinces and cities to organize concerts at appropriate times, creating positive effects and energy for the entire nation, not allowing the situation of taking advantage of organizations that do not ensure quality, violate regulations, violate customs and traditions, negatively affect the cultural environment and the cultural and spiritual life of the people.

The implementation of the formation of the "Vietnam Spirit Festival" like this not only meets the increasing enjoyment needs of the public, but also has a long-term vision, turning concerts from single events into a series of national festivals, spreading positive energy, improving spiritual life, affirming Vietnam's identity and position in the international arena.
