Once skipped train ticket, 40 years later female passenger returned to return envelope full of money

(Dan Tri) - A woman in South Korea stuffed an envelope containing 2 million won (more than 35 million VND) into the ticket window at a train station with a note apologizing for having skipped buying a ticket.

At 7am on December 22, Busan train station (South Korea) was crowded with passengers waiting to buy train tickets for their weekend trip.

While the staff was handling the customer's request, a woman in a long coat stuffed an envelope into the ticket window and hurriedly left.

Before the staff could understand what was happening, the woman had disappeared among hundreds of passengers trying to get on the train.

Upon checking, Busan station staff discovered 2 million won (more than 35 million VND) inside the envelope.

On the back of the envelope was a handwritten message: "I'm sorry. 40 years ago, I had no money so I boarded the train without a ticket. Although it's late, I'll refund the train fare. Once again, I'm sorry."

The short, carefully written letter moved staff at Busan Station. They expressed their respect for the female passenger's brave actions, even though so much time had passed.

"All the station staff were touched by the female customer's courage. We will continue to strive to make Busan Station gain the trust and love of customers," said Seol Pyeong-hwan, Director of Busan Station.

It is known that the 2 million won in the envelope left by the female passenger is expected to be given to people in difficult circumstances.
