With this impressive achievement, the African team was added nearly 100 points and increased 8 places on the FIFA rankings.
The most notable change in the FIFA Women's World Rankings is the No. 1 position in the world. For the first time since 2017, the US team has been pushed from the top position. The American team was deducted 38.82 points for not defending the title at the 2023 Women's World Cup and dropped 2 places.
The 2023 Women's World Cup winners, Spain, are not the team that occupies the top spot in the FIFA rankings. They only moved up 4 places to second place in the world. The 2023 Women's World Cup runners-up, Sweden, became the world's number one team - the highest position in Swedish football history and one they have never achieved before.
