DNVN - Recently, Amazon has added the option to provide a URL link to the seller's website, leveraging Gen AI, allowing sales partners to easily create quality, effective product introduction pages when posting products on Amazon stores.
Generative artificial intelligence, or Gen AI, is transforming almost every experience, and Amazon is leveraging this to bring new features that will practically improve the customer shopping experience and help sellers do business effectively.
One area that Amazon is focusing on is making it easier for its sellers to create high-quality product description pages. In the past, to create a product description page, sellers had to fill in many product information fields accurately and completely to create an attractive introduction and description that attracts customers. Now, Amazon makes this easier for sellers by allowing them to convert existing product pages on other websites into rich product listings that fit into Amazon's store without much effort.
The quality of AI-generated content is getting better and better.
Since last year, Amazon has been working to lighten the load for sellers and help them create better, more efficient product detail pages. Sellers simply provide keywords that briefly describe their products, or upload product images, and Amazon will use Gen AI to generate product titles, product attribute descriptions, and more. These tools even suggest appropriate colors and keywords to increase the chances of showing up when shoppers search for products.
Although the new feature is still in its early stages, more than 100,000 Amazon sellers are already using one or more of Amazon’s Gen AI-powered publishing tools. Amazon encourages sellers to review their product listings before submitting them to the Amazon store.
Currently, the majority of AI-generated product listings submitted to the system are almost 80% agreed upon by sellers with only minor edits. Amazon compared AI-generated content to non-AI-generated content and found improvements in clarity, accuracy, and detail, which helped products increase their visibility in Amazon customer searches. Many sellers shared that this feature helped them save time so they could focus more on developing better new products, a benefit that is especially valuable to small businesses and customers.
The Gen AI tools that Amazon is deploying are constantly improving, and showing positive signs as the number of sellers using the new tools is increasing and the quality of content created by AI is increasingly perfected.
As more sellers leverage technology to improve their listing experience, Amazon is providing them with tools to reduce effort, deliver accurate results, and improve listing quality. Improving and streamlining the listing process is a testament to how sellers are benefiting from Amazon’s investments in Gen AI.
