Prioritize attracting investment in modern, environmentally friendly technology projects.

On the afternoon of August 26, comrade Bui Van Luong, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, worked with the Management Board of Industrial Parks (IPs) of Thai Nguyen province on the development of IPs in the area.

According to the report of the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, after the merger, Thai Nguyen was approved for a list of 19 industrial parks with a total planning area of ​​6,406 hectares. Up to now, 12 industrial parks have been established, of which 6 industrial parks have been put into operation with 348 valid projects.

In the first 8 months of 2025, the revenue of industrial parks is estimated to reach 21.42 billion USD (equivalent to 107% over the same period), export 18.7 billion USD (equivalent to 109% over the same period), budget payment of 4,568 billion VND, creating new jobs for nearly 11,000 people, contributing more than 90% of industrial production value and over 50% of GRDP of the whole province.

Besides the achieved results, some difficulties still exist in the province's industrial parks, such as: wastewater treatment infrastructure in Diem Thuy Industrial Park - Area A is overloaded; construction progress of wastewater treatment plants in Nam Pho Yen and Song Cong II Industrial Parks is still slow; site clearance work in some projects is still stuck...

At the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized the view that Thai Nguyen does not attract investment at all costs but resolutely selects and prioritizes modern technology projects that are environmentally friendly. He requested that industrial park infrastructure investors urgently overcome existing problems, especially completing the wastewater treatment system, and coordinate with departments and branches to speed up the progress of site clearance for projects.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Industrial Park Management Board to proactively review procedures, remove difficulties for investors, and strengthen supervision of enterprises' compliance with environmental laws. At the same time, he affirmed that the province will continue to accompany and create favorable conditions for investors, but also resolutely handle violations, ensuring the orientation of green and sustainable industrial development.
