SJC gold bars highest in 3 weeks

(NLDO) - Gold prices today in the domestic market increased to the highest level in the past 3 weeks following the world 's increasing trend.

Right in the first trading session of the new week, January 6, the world gold price increased to 2,647 USD/ounce, an increase of about 8 USD/ounce compared to the end of last week.

This price increase was driven by increased demand for physical gold in Asian markets, including Vietnam, at the end of the year.

However, gold prices have not been able to break back to the $2,700/ounce mark, as the USD still maintains its strength.

The USD index in the international market is currently fluctuating around 108.7 points, only slightly down from the peak of 109 points recorded in the past two years last week.

Domestic gold prices remain high

The increase in world gold prices has supported the domestic gold price to continue to maintain at a high level. This morning, SJC Company listed the buying price of gold bars at 84 million VND/tael, and the selling price at 85.5 million VND/tael, stable compared to the end of last week.

Similar selling prices were also recorded at PNJ Company, Mi Hong and some commercial banks such asACB , Sacombank, Eximbank, Vietcombank, Agribank, BIDV...

In terms of buying, the price of SJC gold bars has a difference between businesses and banks. Specifically, Mi Hong buys at 84.8 million VND/tael, ACB buys at 84.5 million VND/tael, while some other units list buying prices from 83.5 million to 84 million VND/tael.

Gold prices hit a three-week high

This is the highest price of SJC gold bars in the past 3 weeks. Compared to the lowest price of 83.6 million VND/tael recorded in the previous 3 weeks, each tael of gold bar has increased by nearly 2 million VND.

Similarly, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold has also reached its highest level in the past 3 weeks. Currently, businesses are listing the buying price of plain gold rings at 84 million VND/tael and the selling price at 85.3 million VND/tael, remaining stable compared to the end of last week.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 81.4 million VND/tael, about 4 million VND/tael lower than SJC gold bars and gold rings.
