Beautiful scenery by the lake

Being the chosen place - the starting point for building a community tourism spot along Phu Ninh Lake, Phuoc Bac and An My villages are located in the Phu Ninh Lake basin associated with historical relics: Ganh Gau, Bat Cave, Bac Tam Ky Infirmary, Tam Ky City Party Committee, An Lau T-junction relic. There are also the scenic relics of Trang Waterfall - Ham Ho, Village Dam, Tay Dam, Bong Mieu Gold Mine.

According to the People's Committee of Tam Lanh Commune, this place, going back in history, was once known as the "golden field"..., with a rich and diverse ecosystem of flora and fauna, poetic natural landscapes, and picturesque mountains and rivers. Tam Lanh people are industrious, hard-working, friendly, simple, loyal, united, and mutually supportive... which creates a unified community imbued with the culture of the Central Vietnamese countryside. With the potential and advantages available to the locality, there are enough conditions to develop community tourism.

The village road of Phuoc Bac village, An My runs along the shore of Phu Ninh lake, with a fresh climate thanks to the lush green fruit gardens and cool breezes from Phu Ninh lake. Some tourist reception points have been invested in, ready to welcome visitors to travel and experience. Many local rustic products and OCOP products have also begun to be sold.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hue (Phuoc Bac village, Tam Lanh commune) shared that the people of the two villages were very supportive of the local government's plan to select two villages to build a community tourism site along Phu Ninh lake. To successfully build a community tourism site along Phu Ninh lake, the people voluntarily donated land, trees, and architectural structures to work with the local government to complete the construction, upgrading, and renovation of village roads to create connections; and facilities to serve the development of community tourism.

“People will work with local authorities to build and protect the environment, ensuring a bright - green - clean - beautiful and friendly landscape. Investing in renovating fences, gates, fruit gardens and ornamental plants to bring high economic efficiency, building new models of check-in points, taking souvenir photos for tourists, ensuring community tourism services” - Mr. Hue said.

Promoting community strengths

The selection and construction of a community tourism spot along Phu Ninh Lake is not spontaneous or "lonely" when accompanied by the District People's Committee; the connection and consultation of the Da Nang Green Technology Institute, a number of travel businesses, especially consulting, supporting, training and fostering human resources, promoting local tourist spots in the coming time.

Mr. Nguyen Van Su - Chairman of Tam Lanh Commune People's Committee said that the plan to support community tourism development in Tam Lanh Commune was approved by the District People's Committee, with a total implementation budget of nearly 7.5 billion VND for the period 2023-2025. With the participation of organizations, individuals, and communities involved in the tourism sector, especially households living along Phu Ninh Lake in Phuoc Bac and An My villages, cooperatives, cooperative groups, small and medium enterprises, and business establishments in the commune.

“The objective of the plan is to invest resources to improve infrastructure quality, support production development, garden economic models associated with sightseeing, improve the environmental landscape along the lake and residential areas, train human resources, promote... to develop into a community tourism destination with eco-tourism and experience by 2025.

Mr. Do Van Luat - Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Phu Ninh district said that a systematic plan for developing community tourism based on effective exploitation and awakening of the potential of indigenous tourism along Phu Ninh lake has been formed, with the support of travel agencies. Aiming at the goal of sustainable tourism development, bringing eco-tourism and experiences in Phuoc Bac and An My villages to become community tourism destinations recognized by the Provincial People's Committee in 2025 - to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the district's establishment.
