Vertiv Partners with Intel to Create Liquid Cooling Solution for AI Accelerator Platform

Intel's next-generation AI accelerators will be supported by Vertiv's liquid cooling solutions for data center infrastructure to help organizations accelerate AI adoption while achieving sustainability goals.

The Intel Gaudi3 AI accelerator will enable both liquid- and air-cooled servers, supported by Vertiv's pump-to-two-phase (P2P) cooling infrastructure. The liquid cooling solution has been tested with accelerator power up to 160kW, using water from 17°C to 45°C (62.6°F to 113°F).

The air-cooled solution has been tested for thermal loads up to 40kW, and can be deployed in data centers with ambient air temperatures up to 35°C (95°F). This medium-pressure direct P2P refrigerant cooling solution will help customers achieve heat recycling, warm water cooling, natural air cooling, and reduce power usage efficiency (PUE), water usage efficiency (WUE), and total cost of ownership (TCO).
