On the morning of September 15, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mozambique Tran Thi Thu Thin had a working session with Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mozambique Adelino Manuel Muchanga to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the judicial field and support the protection of Vietnamese citizens and legal entities in Mozambique.
At the meeting, Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin said that Vietnam and Mozambique have a traditional friendship and good cooperation, and Mozambique is one of Vietnam's important partners in Africa.
Since officially establishing diplomatic relations on June 25, 1975, after half a century of companionship, the two countries have continued to promote cooperation in all fields and channels, especially the Party and Government channels.
The two sides regularly exchange delegations at all levels, especially high-level ones, to strengthen political relations, thereby creating a solid foundation to promote cooperation in other fields.
The Ambassador informed that Vietnam is currently promoting judicial work and judicial reform to better meet the requirements and demands of the new situation, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of judicial activities, effectively fighting all types of crimes, protecting justice, protecting human rights, citizen rights, legitimate rights and interests of the State, organizations and individuals, maintaining political security, social order and safety, promoting socio -economic development, and accelerating the country's international integration process.
Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin affirmed that the two countries have great potential for cooperation in this field, especially in the context of increasingly developing bilateral relations.
Affirming that Vietnam always attaches importance to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of citizens both domestically and internationally, Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin thanked the Mozambican Government, including the judiciary, for creating favorable conditions and supporting Vietnamese businesses and communities to live and do business here, thereby making positive contributions to the economic and social life of Mozambique.
The Ambassador respectfully requested Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Adelino Manuel Muchanga to continue to pay attention and create conditions for the two countries' authorities to research and expand new aspects of cooperation, thereby contributing to strengthening judicial cooperation, supporting citizen protection work, and maximally protecting the rights and legitimate interests of the people and businesses of the two countries.

Welcoming Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin to Mozambique to take up her new assignment, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Adelino Manuel Muchanga believes that the Ambassador will have a successful term, making practical contributions to the development of relations between the two countries.
The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court pledged to closely coordinate with the Embassy and promote Mozambique's competent agencies to study and propose new directions for cooperation with Vietnam, commensurate with the foundation and good development trends of the bilateral relationship.
On this occasion, Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Adelino Manuel Muchanga also discussed many other important issues, especially those related to the protection of Vietnamese citizens in Mozambique.
