On December 6, in Hanoi, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front coordinated with the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations and the Ministry of Science and Technology to organize the announcement ceremony of the Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity 2023.
This is an annual activity since 2016 to honor and commend collectives and individuals with works and creative solutions that make practical and effective contributions to science and technology activities; responding to the movement of "solidarity, creativity, improving productivity, quality, efficiency, and international integration".
Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha said that in response to the emulation movement of "solidarity, creativity, improving productivity, quality, efficiency, and international integration" launched by the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, research, innovation, and application of science and technology activities have been actively responded to by many individuals and organizations.
This year, the Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity announced and introduced 79 scientific and technological innovative works and solutions selected from 162 works introduced and proposed by ministries, departments, branches, member organizations, provinces and cities. These are typical scientific and technological innovative works and solutions nationwide, with value in supporting the community, improving life, contributing to socio -economic development, ensuring the environment, taking care of people's health and serving social life.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, on behalf of the leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien praised the efforts of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations in completing the selection and editing of the Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity 2023 in a methodical, scientific, and rigorous manner, ensuring publicity, transparency, and objectivity, and selecting 79 typical scientific works nationwide.
These are all works honored this year in many fields serving socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security that are of interest to the Party, State and the whole society such as: energy, automation, new materials, information technology, electronics, telecommunications, medicine, education and training, agriculture ...
Emphasizing that our Party and State always pay special attention to investing in the development of science and technology and innovation, comrade Do Van Chien said that in recent years, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations has coordinated with ministries, departments, branches, member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and localities to organize the selection and award many awards in the field of science and technology.
These include the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award, the National Technical Innovation Competition, the National Innovation Competition for Youth and Children, etc., which have attracted the attention and participation of many scientists and people from all walks of life. Thousands of awarded scientific works have been and are being applied with practical results, aiming to promote the process of industrialization, modernization of the country and international integration.
“We expect that with the intellectual capacity and creativity of Vietnamese people, it will be promoted more strongly in the coming time and many creative works and solutions will be selected and published in the Golden Book of Vietnamese Creativity in the following years,” said comrade Do Van Chien.
Some typical works honored in the Vietnam Golden Light of Creativity 2023 include research, design, and installation of 5 models for processing and supplying clean water and direct drinking water (school drinking water) at 5 schools in areas with clean water scarcity in Ha Giang province by author Cao Hong Ky; a model of raising spirulina (Spirulina) in households and diversifying products by Masters Huynh Thi Phuong Thao and Van Huu Tai; a system for managing patients and caregivers using Face ID to increase the effectiveness of Covid-19 prevention by author Doan Thanh Vu and colleague Tran Trung Nguyen; the application and development of the "Breast Milk Bank" model to spread and help improve the quality and overall physical health of the generation of Quang Ninh people from birth by Masters Le Thi Thuy Trang, Bui Minh Cuong, Nguyen Thi Thu Ha and colleagues; Application of the method of embolization combined with tumor destruction by MWA (microwave ablation) in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma at Bai Chay hospital by authors Le Tien Hung, Doan Thi Hue and colleagues...
