Vinh Yen towards a civilized and modern urban area

The urban infrastructure of Vinh Yen ward is increasingly spacious and modern.

After the merger, Vinh Yen ward has an area of 25 km2 and a population of 56,428 people. This is a key area, playing an important role in the overall planning of socio -economic development and urban space of Phu Tho province. The establishment of the ward is not only a turning point in administrative management but also an opportunity for the locality to focus on investment, improving the quality of infrastructure and people's lives.

In recent years, urban planning and management have received attention and achieved many positive results. Up to now, 6 zoning plans have covered the entire natural area of the ward, of which the detailed plan at a scale of 1/500 covers 62.23% of the area. On that basis, 13 urban areas and urban, commercial and service functional areas with a total area of about 381.4 hectares have been and are being implemented, contributing to the formation of a new urban appearance.

Technical infrastructure has been initially invested with 232 km of roads, water supply and drainage systems, waste treatment, and public health, education and cultural facilities. However, Vinh Yen urban area still has some limitations such as unsynchronized infrastructure, limited investment capital, and encroachment on sidewalks and roads for business purposes. Urban order management and household waste treatment have not met requirements, affecting the aesthetics and quality of life of the people.

Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Vice Chairman of Vinh Yen Ward People's Committee, said: "Developing a civilized and modern urban area is a key and long-term task. In the period of 2025 - 2030, the ward has determined to focus on investing in building synchronous infrastructure, improving the quality of life of the people. The ward will promote the application of digital technology in urban management, from smart lighting, traffic monitoring to operating technical infrastructure systems, creating a breakthrough in sustainable urban management and development."

To realize the above goal, Vinh Yen ward focuses on improving the effectiveness of leadership, direction and propaganda so that people can clearly understand and agree with the policies and guidelines on urban planning and management. At the same time, review, supplement and promulgate urban management regulations in a synchronous manner, resolutely handle encroachment and protect public spaces.

In addition, the ward prioritizes investment resources to upgrade traffic infrastructure, build overpasses, smart parking lots; renovate water supply and drainage systems, and treat wastewater and waste according to green - clean - sustainable standards. Socializing investment is identified as an important solution to maximize non-budgetary resources to develop infrastructure and welfare works to serve the people.

Vinh Yen Ward has 13 urban areas and urban, commercial and service functional areas.

Along with infrastructure investment, Vinh Yen ward focuses on building a team of urban management staff with high qualifications, capacity and responsibility. The management apparatus will be improved in a professional and effective direction. Administrative procedure reform continues to be promoted, especially in the fields of land, investment and construction, with the motto of publicity and transparency, taking the satisfaction of people and businesses as a measure to evaluate staff.

With the goal of building and upgrading key projects to serve people's lives by 2030, such as upgrading Hoi Hop, Dong Tam, Thanh Tru markets; building flower gardens, parks, ward-level cultural and sports centers and community event centers. Investing in renovating, embanking lakes and lagoons, preventing encroachment on water surfaces, contributing to environmental protection, improving urban aesthetics and serving the entertainment needs of the people.

Vice Chairman of the Ward People's Committee Nguyen Van Binh affirmed: "With the attention and close direction of the province and city, along with the determination of the entire political system, the consensus of the people and the companionship of the business community, Vinh Yen ward will become a civilized and modern urban area, a livable place for people and attractive to investors."

The establishment of Vinh Yen ward is not only an important administrative milestone but also opens up great opportunities for economic, social and urban infrastructure development. With a clear orientation, synchronous solutions and high determination, Vinh Yen is gradually affirming its position, becoming a model urban area of Phu Tho province in the coming years.
