New O Dien Commune: More than 1,000 people participated in environmental sanitation to celebrate the commune's founding event.

Getting ready for the first official day of operating the two-level local government model on July 1, on the afternoon of June 29, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the new O Dien commune launched a general environmental cleaning campaign by union members and people and hung the national flag.

More than 1,000 union members, members of socio-political organizations and a large number of local people actively participated in the general environmental cleaning activities on inter-village roads, public areas and residential areas. The forces were divided into many groups, simultaneously collecting garbage, clearing bushes, unclogging sewers, sweeping and cleaning the living environment.

At the same time, the Commune Fatherland Front also mobilized people to hang the national flag in front of their houses, creating a solemn, sacred and exciting atmosphere towards the important event of the locality. On the main roads such as the commune central road, the cultural houses of the villages were all brightly colored with the red flag with yellow star, contributing to spreading the spirit of solidarity, national pride and determination to build the homeland of O Dien more and more civilized and beautiful.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bay, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Dan Phuong district, expected to be assigned as Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the new O Dien commune, said that this is a practical activity to celebrate the founding day of the commune and also an opportunity for each person to express their love for their homeland, community responsibility, together preserve a green - clean - beautiful environment, and build a civilized lifestyle.

The newly established O Dien commune includes the entire natural area and population of Ha Mo commune (Dan Phuong); most of the natural area and population of the communes: Hong Ha, Lien Hong, Lien Ha, Lien Trung, Tan Lap, Tan Hoi (Dan Phuong); a part of the natural area and population of Tay Tuu ward (Bac Tu Liem) and the communes: Van Khe (Me Linh), Duc Thuong (Hoai Duc). The commune has an area of ​​32.06 km2, population of 97,506 people. The headquarters is located at the headquarters of the People's Committees of the communes: Ha Mo, Tan Hoi (current).
