The construction and formation of anchorage areas plays a very important role in seafood trading as well as ensuring the safety of ships taking shelter during storms. However, at Cua Nhuong anchorage area, there is a situation where ships are gradually deteriorating and damaged after a long period of inactivity, but there is no solution to handle it. This not only affects the environment but also causes many consequences.

Some local fishermen said that after the old boats are no longer in use, people tow them to shore, remove the machinery and throw away the hulls. Because the boats are built from wood such as: tau, cang le…, the time to decompose is very long.

It is known that the entire Cam Nhuong commune currently has more than 250 fishing boats. With a large number of boats, not counting those from other provinces coming for shelter, refueling or selling seafood, cleaning up the wrecks of "ghost" boats is necessary.

In the coming time, the local authorities will work with households whose boats have sunk or been abandoned for a long time in the anchorage area to have a salvage plan, creating a clear channel for fishermen to enter and anchor safely as well as overcome the environmental pollution situation.
