At about 6:00 p.m. on April 7, a truck with a license plate from Nghe An province was traveling on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay highway, from Binh Thuan to Dong Nai.

When reaching km47, in Tan Duc commune, Ham Tan district (Binh Thuan province), the truck driver discovered smoke coming from behind and immediately pulled over to the emergency lane on the side of the road.

When opening the truck door, the driver quickly moved some goods out. However, the fire spread quickly, engulfing all the goods in the truck.

Upon receiving the news, the incident response patrol team under the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway Operation Center quickly arrived at the scene. At the same time, the local fire department was notified to dispatch fire trucks to put out the fire.

After about 20 minutes, the fire was controlled, however the goods on the vehicle were completely burned.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
