This morning (May 26), General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Nguyen Van Phu met and inquired about the recovery of player Xuan Son after surgery. VFF leaders said that VFF is very happy that Xuan Son is recovering quickly and hopes that he will soon return to competition and continue to contribute to Vietnamese football at the club and national team levels.

It is known that at Nam Dinh Club, Xuan Son is also actively training with the doctor and fitness coach and is expected to soon return to training with the club.

At the meeting, player Xuan Son also shared about his recovery process after surgery and expressed hope to soon return to the field to practice and compete.

Previously, the consultation in March between VFF and Vinmec Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center assessed Xuan Son's recovery progress as positive. This striker has the ability to move gently and actively recover 2 sessions/day with exercises to maintain weight, muscle strength, and stimulate rapid bone healing.

According to the plan, Xuan Son will continue his rehabilitation treatment, with exercises designed to be similar to those at the Club. The weight of the weights will be gradually increased, in accordance with the recovery progress, ensuring the maintenance of muscle strength throughout the treatment period, while creating a solid foundation for a stronger return after injury.

Nam Dinh Club also committed to a long-term relationship with Xuan Son. The striker born in 1997 signed a contract until 2031.

With a 6-year contract, Xuan Son is almost certain to commit the rest of his career to the Southern team.

Xuan Son joined Nam Dinh Club in December 2019. He played 1 season here, then moved to Da Nang (2021), Binh Dinh (2022, 2023), before returning to Nam Dinh from the 2023 - 2024 season. Xuan Son scored 31 goals in V-League, helping Nam Dinh Club reach the top.

The 28-year-old striker then shone again at the AFF Cup 2024 with 7 goals in 5 matches, helping the Vietnamese team return to the Southeast Asian throne.

VFF encourages Vietnam women's team goalkeeper

Also on the morning of May 26, VFF leaders visited and encouraged goalkeeper Tran Thi Trang of the Vietnam women's team.

During the women's team's training session in early May, player Tran Thi Trang suffered a fractured left ankle and underwent timely surgery at the hospital on May 23.

According to the doctors, Tran Thi Trang's surgery was successful, and the patient progressed well after surgery. On May 26, Tran Thi Trang was instructed by the doctors on some rehabilitation exercises (using crutches) such as: climbing stairs, walking, and exercises related to joints, skin... before going home.

According to plan, on the afternoon of May 26, player Tran Thi Trang will be discharged from the hospital to recover at home and is expected to return for a check-up after 2 weeks.
