The event aims to strengthen and promote the cooperative relationship between Da Nang city and Japanese localities and partners; promote connection, exchange and expand cooperation between creative start-up enterprises of Da Nang and Japan. At the same time, the event creates conditions for Japanese banks, financial institutions and enterprises to learn more about the start-up environment in Da Nang.
Through the discussion, businesses, banks, and financial institutions in Japan also shared about cooperation opportunities, programs, and support policies for innovative startups in Da Nang and Japan. The delegation also hoped to create a partnership network between Da Nang and Japan to promote cooperation in the coming time.
According to the Danang Center for Supporting Innovative Startups, the city aims to become one of the major socio -economic centers of the country and Southeast Asia by 2030, with the role of a center for startups and innovation; aiming for the title of "Attractive City for Innovative Startups" for the 5th time by 2025.
In 2024, Da Nang entered the top 1,000 cities with the highest startup ecosystem index in the world for the first time by StartupBlink. Notably, Da Nang's innovative startup ecosystem increased 130 places, from 896th to 766th on the global rankings in 2025.
Within the framework of the event, businesses, banks, and financial institutions in Japan visited and learned about the innovation ecosystem at Danang Software Park No. 2.
The tour also created many opportunities for Japanese partners to meet innovative startups, learn about the investment environment in Da Nang and develop future cooperation; it is expected to open up many opportunities for investment and development cooperation between Japanese partners and the Da Nang startup community, contributing to the overall development of the innovation ecosystem.
