On the afternoon of June 21, at the district cultural center, the Department of Culture and Information of Yen Khanh district coordinated with the provincial cultural center to organize the closing ceremony of the training course on Cheo singing art and improving the skills of using traditional musical instruments for clubs in the district in 2023.
Implementing the Project to build cultural products to promote the cultural and historical values of Hoa Lu Ancient Capital and maintain, develop and preserve the art of Cheo singing, Yen Khanh district coordinated with the Provincial Cultural Center to organize a training course on Cheo singing art and improve the use of traditional musical instruments for art nuclei and musicians participating in Cheo singing clubs in communes, towns, schools... in the district.
During 10 days, with the direct guidance of a team of lecturers who are people's artists, meritorious artists, folk artists, choreographers and experienced musicians, nearly 140 students from clubs in the district received advanced training in Cheo melodies and the use of traditional instruments in performing Cheo singing.
The training course aims to help the core members at the grassroots level learn more about ancient Cheo melodies, new melodies praising the Party, Uncle Ho, the homeland, the country, and the innovation of the homeland, helping the students when returning to their localities to be the core members to teach and spread widely to the public in a practical and effective way.
The training course also contributes to restoring, preserving and promoting traditional art values in the district. Thereby, constantly improving the quality of activities of traditional clubs in communes and schools, thereby having many core members participate in competitions organized by the province, at the same time introducing cultural products such as Cheo singing, Xam singing, and folk Drum dance of the district to the public in the province and outside the province to know more.
At the closing ceremony, the trainees reported on the summary of the class with outstanding performances, demonstrating the creative application of the knowledge and lessons learned during the training course, such as: Traditional musical instrument ensemble "Five-tone practice and Loi Lo melody"; Cheo singing performances: "Hello Yen Khanh beautiful and rich", "My hometown festival", "Sending you the distant island soldier"; ancient Cheo excerpt "The teacher teaches"..., performed by the trainees.
