Request to clarify the cause of the fire that killed 4 people

Specifically, at around 7:45 a.m. on May 13, on Thanh Cong Street, Quang Trung Ward, Ha Dong District, a fire broke out at a private house, causing serious consequences, killing 4 people and injuring 1 person.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee directed the City Police to focus on fire fighting, rescue and investigation to clarify the cause of the fire.

At the same time, the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee directed the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the People's Committee of Ha Dong district to urgently visit the victims' families, organize to overcome the consequences, and stabilize the lives of people in the area.

Previously, as reported, on the morning of May 13, at house number 24 Thanh Cong (Quang Trung ward, Ha Dong, Hanoi), a serious fire broke out. Initially, 3 children were confirmed dead.

Detailed developments of the incident

According to a quick report from the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Hanoi City Police), the fire broke out at 24 Thanh Cong Street, Residential Group 8, Quang Trung Ward (Ha Dong, Hanoi). The head of the household is Ms. NTH (born in 1984).

On the same morning, the City Police Command Information Center received a fire report at the above address. After receiving the fire report, the Command Information Center mobilized 4 fire trucks; including 2 vehicles belonging to the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team, Ha Dong District Police and 2 vehicles belonging to the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team of Area 4. Officers and soldiers promptly arrived at the scene to organize fire fighting and rescue.

Leaders of the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) and Hanoi City Police also directly went to the scene to direct the work of fire fighting, rescue, overcoming the consequences and examining the scene of the fire.

At about 8:15 a.m., the fire was basically extinguished. The burnt house consisted of 3 floors, 1 attic to be able to escape to the house next door and downstairs. There were 4 people who died in the incident, including Mrs. NTX (born in 1956); children NMP (born in 2013), NQMĐ (born in 2015) and NQMH (born in 2019). All 3 children were children of the head of the household.

The cause of the incident is still being investigated.
