According to the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC), storm No. 10 (BUALOI) and its circulation have severely affected the power grid in many provinces in the Central and Northern mountainous regions. Immediately after the storm dissipated, EVNNPC mobilized all forces and means to urgently fix the problem, prioritizing the earliest restoration of power supply to customers.

As of 7:00 a.m. on October 3, EVNNPC has restored all 35 110kV transformer stations and 71/73 110kV lines. In the medium voltage grid, most of the transformer stations and lines have been re-energized, only some areas in Nghe An, Ha Tinh , Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai are still being handled due to the terrain being divided and the water level still being deep.

EVNNPC said that nearly 3.8 million customers of the Corporation were affected by storm No. 10, causing power interruptions. Up to this point, more than 3.44 million customers have had their power restored, reaching a rate of over 90%, with about 362,000 customers remaining (equivalent to more than 3% of the total number of managed customers).

EVNNPC aims to complete power restoration for all customers on October 6.

Many localities have recorded that the restoration and re-supply of electricity to people has been carried out very promptly and effectively. In Thanh Hoa, there are less than 10,000 customers without electricity. In Nghe An and Ha Tinh, the two localities most severely affected, the number of customers with restored and re-supplied electricity has increased rapidly every hour, down sharply compared to October 2.

Mountainous provinces such as Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, and Cao Bang have also made positive recovery progress, with tens of thousands of customers having their power restored.

To achieve this result, EVNNPC mobilized more than 2,300 officers and employees from many units in the Corporation and other power companies, divided into teams focusing on heavily damaged localities.

The direction work was deployed resolutely and effectively, under the direct leadership of the Corporation's leaders, the Head of the Command Board for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue, and specialized departments.

With the motto "not letting customers wait long", EVNNPC continues to mobilize maximum human resources, materials and means, working 24/7 to soon complete the restoration of power supply, while coordinating with local authorities and functional agencies to support people to stabilize their lives after the storm.
