315 athletes from Thuan An commune participated in the final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run

On the morning of September 21, the People's Committee of Thuan An commune organized the final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace 2025, celebrating the 71st anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2025).

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the race, Vice Chairman of Thuan An Commune People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Huong emphasized that the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Race is a meaningful sports and cultural event, contributing to improving community health, building a healthy cultural life and strengthening solidarity among the people.

The Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run has become a familiar and useful playground, attracting millions of participants from all over the country. The race not only encourages the movement of physical exercise and sports, improving health, but also carries a noble message: Sports for peace , friendship and sustainable development.

With the spirit of "Healthy to build and protect the Fatherland", this year's final competition, Thuan An commune has the participation of 315 athletes who are junior high school and high school students, cadres, civil servants, employees, workers and armed forces from villages, residential groups, schools, agencies, organizations, military units and police in the commune.

Athletes compete in 6 events: Middle school, high school male, female 1,750m; armed forces male 4,500m, female 2,500m.

After a morning of competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 6 first prizes, 5 second prizes, 5 third prizes for individuals; 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes for teams to the winning athletes and teams.

Director of the Culture - Information and Sports Center of Thuan An commune Nguyen Van Tram said that based on the results of the competition, the Organizing Committee will select the best athletes to continue training and represent the commune to participate in the final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace in 2025.
