37 public high schools in Ho Chi Minh City recruit additional 10th grade students

GD&TĐ - The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has just announced additional admission to grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year at 37 public high schools in Region 1 (old Ho Chi Minh City).

Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced additional enrollment information for each type as follows:

High schools of common choice

Condition:

- Students who attended the exam in region 1 of Ho Chi Minh City

- Students who want to participate in additional recruitment must not have passed all 3 wishes and must have a total entrance exam score of 3 subjects Math, Literature, Foreign Language and priority and incentive points (if any) greater than or equal to the standard score of the first wish of the public high school they want to register.

- Note that each student can only register for additional admission to 1 high school that has not yet met its assigned enrollment quota and cannot change schools after submitting the application for additional admission.

Students wishing to enroll additional students must submit their application directly to the high school, including the 10th grade entrance exam score report issued by the middle school where the student registered to take the exam.

The high school will use the exam management software of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City to consider candidates who are eligible for additional admission. In case the number of admitted candidates exceeds the remaining quota due to many candidates having the same score, the school's admission council will adjust the number of admitted candidates in the spirit that the number of admitted candidates does not exceed the assigned quota.

Japanese

Condition:

- Students who have taken the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in Region 1, Ho Chi Minh City and have studied Japanese (first foreign language) at the secondary school level.

Students register to take the Japanese language exam, achieve a score of 5 or higher and have not been admitted to high schools with Japanese language programs.

Secondary schools that teach Japanese are responsible for reviewing and making a list of candidates who are eligible for additional admission and send it to the Quality Management Department, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training before 5:00 p.m. on August 4.

The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City will base on the list of qualified candidates to conduct admission based on the Japanese test scores in order of priority from high to low until the remaining Japanese class quota at Marie Curie High School is met.

Integrated English Program

Students have taken the 10th grade entrance exam in Region 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

Students who have passed other types of admission to high schools that teach integrated English programs and wish to transfer to study this program.

Based on the number of students who have passed the entrance exam and want to change their application type, high school principals organize a survey to change their application type in order to fill the assigned quota for integrated English classes.

Timeline for additional recruitment

From July 30 to 5:00 p.m. August 4: High schools organize to receive applications for additional enrollment registration;

From August 5 to August 6: High schools conduct enrollment on exam management software;

August 7: High schools report enrollment results to the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City;

August 8: Announcement of the list of additional successful candidates;

From August 8 to 4:00 p.m. on August 11: High schools organize to receive additional admitted candidates.

August 13: Schools send additional lists of admitted students to the quality management department.

Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training notes: Do not accept students exceeding enrollment quota.

Cases exceeding the enrollment quota will not be resolved; additional successful candidates will not be accepted after 4:00 p.m. on August 11; candidates participating in the enrollment must have their names on the exam management system of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.

The Admissions Board is responsible for supplementary admission requirements and ensuring that applications are complete.
