Opening the session on May 28, the VN-Index maintained its green color when trading completely above the reference level. In the afternoon session, the demand suddenly exploded strongly, helping the VN-Index close at the highest level of the day, at 1,281 points (up 14 points).

During the session, foreign investors net sold 1,149 billion VND on the HOSE floor, focusing on CTG shares (-464 billion VND), VNM shares (-124 billion VND) and HPG shares (-93.9 billion VND).

On the contrary, foreign investors strongly net bought stocks such asFPT (113.15 billion VND), LPB (40.06 billion VND), POW (24.69 billion VND).

Stocks contributing most positively to the increase of VN-Index were FPT (+1.32), LPB (+1.01), HVN (+0.96), SAB (+0.79), MSN (+0.71).

Meanwhile, stocks with the strongest decline were CTG (-0.27), LGC (-0.19), VCF (-0.03), TDM (-0.03), EIB (-0.02).

Beta Securities Joint Stock Company said that VN-Index has once again entered the strong resistance zone of 1,280-1,300 points, equivalent to the peak of March 2024. If the upward momentum and demand continue to be maintained, it is very likely that VN-Index will break through the above resistance zone.

"Although domestic cash flow is dominating even when foreign investors are continuously net selling, in the long term, foreign investors' movements are still an important factor that needs to be carefully observed to limit risks to the investment portfolio," Beta Company commented.

According to VCBS Securities Company, VN-Index continues to show stable momentum as demand and cash flow actively participate in the market.

VCBS recommends that with the current situation, investors continue the T+ surfing strategy, consider increasing disbursement of available codes in the portfolio and take profits on codes that have reached short-term targets.
