400m of road under construction again after 14 years of being 'forgotten'

TPO - After 14 years of being "forgotten" due to land and funding problems, the road section of more than 400m long through Ky Ninh commune, Ky Anh town (Ha Tinh) has been funded for completion.

In the last days of the year, workers and machines are still constructing a road section of more than 400m long through Ky Ninh commune, Ky Anh town (Ha Tinh). This is a road section that has been "missing" for the past 14 years due to land and funding issues, so construction cannot be carried out.

According to the Management Board of the Ha Tinh Economic Zone Construction Investment Project (investor), the above road section belongs to the Central Urban Area - Ky Ninh Tourist Urban Area Cross-Road Project (phase 1), approved by the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee in 2010 with a total investment of more than 319 billion VND. The total length of the entire route is more than 9.2km.

In phase 1, the project completed 8.8/9.2 km of construction, meeting the standards of a level III road. At that time, more than 400m through Tan Thang village, Ky Ninh commune could not be constructed due to site clearance problems. In the picture, the road section has been re-constructed after 14 years of being "forgotten".

"The investor has asked the construction unit to take advantage of favorable weather to speed up progress to complete the road for people to travel," informed a representative of the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects in the Ha Tinh Economic Zone.

Some residents in the project area have relocated and handed over the site for road construction. “The road has not been constructed for the past 14 years, making it difficult and dangerous for people to travel. I hope the contractor will soon complete the road,” said a resident of Ky Ninh commune.

Bac A Construction and Trade Joint Stock Company was assigned to construct the road. Currently, the project implementing unit has completed the drainage ditch, excavation and site clearance, and transported the components to the work site.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thai, Director of Bac A Construction and Trade Joint Stock Company, said that the construction unit has been working for nearly a month, but due to heavy rain, the workload is not large. "This route has a lot of traffic, the weather is not favorable, so the construction is very difficult. The unit will try to complete the road surface before Tet, spread gravel for people to travel and complete more", Mr. Thai informed.

The constant flow of traffic causes the road to form large potato beds, making construction difficult.

The road is being cleared and a drainage system is being constructed. Local leaders said that people are very happy that the road has been reinvested and hope that the road will be completed before the Lunar New Year to facilitate trade and celebrate Tet.
