89 plant species in Ta Dung National Park are at risk of extinction.

There are currently more than 1,400 species of plants in the Ta Dung National Park. The fauna here is also outstanding, with about 650 species, including 70 rare and endangered species; 61 species are listed in the Vietnam Red Book.

Ta Dung National Park has a total natural area of ​​about 21,000 hectares, located on the border between Dak Nong and Lam Dong provinces, and is considered an important "green lung" of the region. With a forest cover rate of up to 85% of the core area, including more than 48% primary forest and more than 36% secondary forest, this place possesses a rich ecosystem and habitat, suitable for the growth of animal and plant species.

Ta Dung National Park is identified as an important conservation area of ​​the Dong Nai River basin, the Southern Truong Son landscape and the Dalat Plateau endemic bird area - one of the world's leading endemic bird areas.
