In the recently announced Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025, there are 9 Vietnamese higher education institutions, the top of which is the University of
Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), ranked in the 501-600 group.
The Times Higher Education (THE) ranking organization has just announced the results of the 2025 world university rankings (THE World University Rankings 2025 - THE WUR 2025). This year, more than 2,000 higher
education institutions from 115 countries and territories were included in the rankings. The rankings also recorded 185 new names appearing in the list for the first time. Vietnamese higher education institutions named in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 are: University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH); Duy Tan University; Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU); Hanoi Medical University; Ho Chi Minh City Open University; Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Hanoi University of Science and Technology; Hue University; Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. Topping the list of the 9 above mentioned units is the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City, ranked in the 501-600 group. This is the first time that the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City has appeared in the THE World University Rankings 2025. The school was ranked in the world university rankings for Sustainability - QS World University Ranking Sustainability 2024. Last year, in the THE WUR 2024 ranking list, Vietnam had 6 higher education institutions. Order of Vietnamese higher education institutions in THE WUR 2025 Ranking and evaluation index:
