According to Blazetrends , the MacBook Air is the laptop line that offers the best quality-to-price ratio from Apple, and the fact that it offers two different screen size options makes it even more attractive. Among these, the newly launched 15-inch MacBook Air with M2 chip attracts attention when it becomes the thinnest 15-inch laptop in the world at 11.5 mm thick.
MacBook Air M3 will only appear on the market next year
Now, a report from Bloomberg tech analyst Mark Gurman suggests that Apple will soon start production of the next-generation MacBook Air with the Apple M3 chip, a chip made using the 3nm process. The new laptop is reportedly due in 2024, but the exact launch date is unclear. But if Apple sticks to its release schedule, it's likely that the refresh will be announced at WWDC 2024.
The Apple M3 is the successor to the current M2 chip, which promises to bring many improvements in performance and energy efficiency, thanks in large part to TSMC's 3nm lithography technology. With the M3 chip, the 13.6-inch and 15.3-inch MacBook Air models are expected to ship with 8 CPU cores and 10 integrated graphics cores (GPU).
Finally, Gurman also believes that Apple is working on a new iMac with an M3 chip. It will look similar to the current iMac M1 but will come with a larger screen and next-generation chip. It is unlikely that this product will appear at Apple's next major hardware launch event, which is expected to take place in September this year, with the most notable name being the iPhone 15 series.
