This is one of the biggest festivals in the Southern coastal region, held at Dinh Co, located at the foot of Thuy Van mountain, Long Hai town. The festival takes place from the 10th to the 12th of the second lunar month every year, attracting tens of thousands of fishermen and tourists to attend.
Before the main ceremony (February 10 and 11), boats were decorated with lanterns on the beach, heading towards Dinh Co. Early in the morning of February 12, the boats turned towards the sea to perform the Nghinh Co ceremony. A fishing boat was chosen to lead the way, with a throne, a tablet of the Lady, members of the ceremony committee, senior elders in solemn ceremonial costumes and a lion and dragon dance team.
The fleet of boats set sail one after another to the sound of drums, traveling about 2-3 nautical miles, to the area where the Lady died long ago. The Chief of the Temple began the ceremony to welcome the Lady, the gods, and ancestors back to the palace for the death anniversary.
