Bac Ninh: Focus on overcoming damage after floods, stabilizing people's lives

BAC NINH - From September 29 to the morning of October 3, due to the impact of storm Bualoi, heavy rains occurred in the province, causing flooding of many rice and crop areas, damaging some infrastructure works, affecting people's lives and production. Party committees, authorities at all levels, functional forces and people are urgently implementing measures to overcome and minimize damage.

As of the morning of October 3, the province had 27 landslides and 10 road landslides with thousands of cubic meters of soil, rock, and concrete. There were also a number of dike incidents. Dai Son commune has 6 landslides on provincial road 291C through the villages: Dong Bam, Non Ta, Dong Cao. In addition, there are many landslides on inter-commune and village roads. Local authorities have urgently mobilized machinery and human resources to organize leveling, ensuring smooth traffic.

The whole province has more than 300 hectares of fruit trees flooded, mainly oranges, grapefruits, and apples in the communes and wards of Phuong Son, Nam Duong, and Luc Ngan...

Sang Binh garden house, Trai 3 residential group, Phuong Son ward has nearly 2 thousand sweet orange trees in the fruit development period; the yield is estimated at 50 tons. The flood has inundated nearly 1 thousand trees, causing an estimated damage of more than 2 billion VND.

The whole province has more than 2,800 hectares of rice and crops flooded, broken, and fallen due to storms and rains. Of which, in Nhan Thang commune, 5 hectares of rice, crops, and aquaculture were flooded. Taking advantage of the sunny weather, people went to the fields to clear drainage channels and tie up the fallen rice plants.

After the flood receded, people of Chu ward urgently cleaned up mud on roads and construction sites.

Van Ha Ward has more than 2,100 households with 8,200 people in Tho Ha and Yen Vien residential groups isolated by floods from the Cau River. To ensure the safety of students, schools in the area have temporarily closed.
