On the afternoon of January 14, the Board of Directors of the Dak Lak Provincial Social Policy Bank held a conference to review activities in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025.

The report at the conference said that in 2024, 49,671 poor households, near-poor households and other policy beneficiaries were able to borrow capital, with a total loan amount of more than VND 2,415.8 billion (an increase of more than VND 330.2 billion compared to 2023). The total outstanding social policy credit balance in the province reached more than VND 8,025.7 billion (an increase of nearly VND 670 billion compared to the end of 2023, a growth rate of 9.11%) with 166,484 customers with outstanding loans.
Total overdue debt and deferred debt is more than 8 billion VND, accounting for 0.10%, meeting the target set by the resolution (maintaining below 0.2%). Compared to the end of 2023, there are 12 district-level transaction offices with reduced overdue debt (including: Lak, Krong Pac, Cu M'gar, Krong Buk, Krong Nang, M'Drak, Krong Ana, Ea Sup, Buon Ma Thuot City, Ea Kar, Ea H'leo, Cu Kuin) and 3 transaction offices with no overdue debt (Buon Ho, Lak and Krong Bong).
The entrusted socio- political organizations have closely coordinated with the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies to effectively implement the entrusted contents, through 180 commune transaction points with 4,029 Savings and Loan Groups to quickly disburse funds, promptly meeting the loan needs of policy beneficiaries. In 2024, the total outstanding policy credit balance jointly managed by socio-political organizations will reach more than VND 8,004 billion, an increase of more than VND 669 billion compared to 2023.

Policy credit programs have had a positive impact on households in poor, disadvantaged and ethnic minority areas; integrated with agricultural and forestry extension work, crop and livestock conversion, increased productivity, increased income for the poor and other policy beneficiaries, effectively implemented the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and new rural construction. Thereby, many production and business models and projects have brought high economic efficiency and contributed significantly to local poverty reduction, reducing the rate of poor households in the province from 9.15% to 6.65%, down 2.5% compared to 2023; near-poor households from 6.8% to 5.62%, down 1.18% compared to 2023.
In addition to the achieved results, in the past time, the implementation of policy credit programs in the area still encountered some difficulties such as: the mobilization of deposits from organizations and individuals to create additional sources of capital for loans is still difficult, unstable and unsustainable; preferential credit policies to implement the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas according to Decree No. 28/2022/ND-CP, dated April 26, 2022 of the Government have not been allocated capital by the Government in 2024; the quality of inspection and supervision work of some entrusted associations and organizations is not high, the work of arranging archived records of associations, organizations and Savings and Loan Groups is not complete and scientific...
