Units inaugurated and handed over a gratitude house to the family of veteran Leng Van San, Thuong 2 village, Hoang Su Phi commune. |
Due to the impact of the storm in early June 2025, landslides flooded into the house, Mr. Leng Van San's family, a poor household, could not afford to build or move to a safe place. Understanding the difficult situation, the Association of War Veterans of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics mobilized members, staff, lecturers and benefactors to donate and support Mr. San's family with 60 million VND to build a new house.
The 3-room, 2-wing stilt house was started on July 20, 2025, with a total cost of over 200 million VND. In addition to the support from the Academy's Veterans Association and benefactors, the remaining amount was borrowed by the family from brothers and relatives. After nearly 2 months of construction, the house was completed and put into use.
Supporting the construction of Gratitude Houses is an activity with profound humanitarian meaning, demonstrating the concern and care of the Veterans Association at all levels for members with difficult housing circumstances; at the same time, it is a source of material and spiritual encouragement, helping members strive to improve their lives.
