Beautiful places to see ripe rice in Hoang Su Phi
The most beautiful time of the year in Hoang Su Phi is probably during the rice ripening season (usually from late September to early October). At this time, Hoang Su Phi seems to awaken. The golden rice fields winding on the high mountain slopes, blending with the clouds and sky, create a majestic natural picture.
Therefore, although the road is difficult and dangerous, every year, during the rice harvest season, tourists still flock to Hoang Su Phi.
Terraced fields in Hoang Su Phi still retain their wild beauty with small, pretty stilt houses scattered on the hillsides.
Below are some beautiful places to see ripe rice in Hoang Su Phi.
Phung village terraced fields
Ban Phung is about 30km from Vinh Quang town center. The terraced fields here are located on steep mountain slopes. Together with Ban Luoc, this is the place with the highest terraced fields in Vietnam.

Starting from the end of September, the whole village is covered in the golden color of ripe rice. Dawn is perhaps the most beautiful moment in Phung village. At this time, visitors can immerse themselves in the sunlight, enjoy the fresh air and admire the golden terraced fields winding around the hills.
Thong Nguyen is the convergence of three large streams: Phin Ho, Nam Ong and Nam Khoa. The convergence of streams and the annual alluvial deposits create the richness of this land. Ancient people often compared Thong Nguyen to an "open land" of a bright future, a place where "mountains and water gather".

Luoc village terraced fields
Ban Luoc has over 160 hectares of terraced fields, interspersed with village areas, the largest area compared to the remaining locations of Hoang Su Phi.
In Ban Luoc, there are terraced fields everywhere in the shape of waves and arcs. The terraced fields in Ban Luoc are considered beautiful, uniform, divided into many levels, stretching from the stream bank to the top of the mountain.

Ho Thau terraced fields
Ho Thau in the local language means source because this is the origin point for small streams of the upper reaches of Chay River and Bac River.
Although not as famous as Phung village, Luoc village or Thong Nguyen, Ho Thau still has a simple and familiar beauty that captivates visitors.

The yellow color of ripe rice blends with the green of the mountains and forests, the white of the clouds and sky, bringing a wild and charming beauty to Hoang Su Phi.
In addition to terraced fields, Ho Thau is also famous for Chieu Lau Thi mountain at 2419m high, the highest in the old Ha Giang province. The average altitude of Ho Thau compared to sea level is 952m so the weather is always cool or cold.
