On the morning of June 16, Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee organized an Exchange - Discussion program to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, with the theme "Revolutionary press in the era of growth".

Attending the event were Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hau Giang province; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Dung, Member of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of the Regional Political Academy II...

At the seminar, delegates reviewed the tradition and development process of revolutionary journalism; affirmed that journalists always uphold revolutionary ethics and have strong political will.

Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Secretary of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee, affirmed that the press is not only an information channel but also closely linked to the development process of the province. The press always accompanies the implementation of resolutions, contributes viewpoints and suggestions for the management work of the provincial leaders.

Up to now, the provincial competitiveness index and economic growth of Hau Giang are among the highest in the country and the press is a strong arm contributing to these achievements.

According to the Secretary of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee, market pressure, information competition and increasingly diverse public needs pose many challenges in the operations of press agencies, requiring journalists to be courageous and have a steadfast mindset to do well the task of propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws when entering the new era.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quoc Dung, Director of the Regional Political Academy II, we do not reject AI and Big Data because they are achievements of mankind, but we must use their "soul" to serve the country and the people, which is the Party spirit in journalism.

The era of technology and integration requires the press to constantly innovate to adapt but must maintain its mettle, revolutionary ideals and not forget its mission. That is to build, consolidate and elevate a generation of future journalists with "sharp pen - pure heart - bright mind", imbued with the spirit of serving the country and serving the people.
