Bao Loc: 101 more units of blood supplied to Lam Dong II Hospital

(LĐ online) - On the morning of June 26, Bao Loc City Red Cross Association coordinated with Loc Chau Commune Red Cross Association, Co.opmart Bao Loc Supermarket and Hematology Department of Lam Dong II Hospital to organize the voluntary blood donation program "Red Blood Drops Summer 2025".

Volunteers came to donate blood at the Loc Chau commune voluntary blood donation point on the morning of June 26.

This is an emergency voluntary blood donation program organized by the Bao Loc City Red Cross in coordination with related units to supplement the blood supply for the Lam Dong II Hospital Blood Bank, which is in short supply. Thereby, ensuring emergency care and treatment for patients at the Hospital.

The blood donation program attracted a large number of volunteers who are officials, civil servants, employees, members, workers and people in Bao Loc City and Co.opmart Supermarket to participate in blood donation.

At the end of the program, the Organizing Committee received 101 units of blood, providing them to Lam Dong II Hospital to serve the emergency and treatment of patients. Of which, the blood donation point in Loc Chau commune received 66 units of blood and the blood donation point at Co.opmart Bao Loc Supermarket received 35 units of blood from participating supermarket staff and employees.

Up to now, after 4 regular blood donations, 3 emergency blood donations and 1 urgent blood donation, Bao Loc City has received 1,109 units of blood, reaching 100% of the assigned target in 2025.

Previously, as informed: Due to the shortage of blood for emergency treatment for patients, on June 24 and 25, Lam Dong II Hospital coordinated with Bao Loc City Red Cross to call for volunteers to donate blood directly at the hospital. Thereby, Lam Dong II Hospital received 65 units of blood of groups O, A, B and AB. From there, supplementing the hospital's blood bank which is in shortage, contributing to the good implementation of emergency treatment and treatment for patients.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu - Chairman of Bao Loc City Red Cross, in 2025, Bao Loc City was assigned the target of mobilizing 1,100 units of blood. After 4 regular blood donations, 1 emergency blood donation and 3 emergency blood donations, the Organizing Committee collected 1,109 units of blood, reaching 100% of the assigned target for the year.
