Arrest of former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cadovimex Company

On the evening of January 4, according to a source from the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of National Defense temporarily detained Mr. Ngo Van Phang, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cadovimex Seafood Processing and Import-Export Joint Stock Company (CDOV Company).

Mr. Phang was prosecuted for investigation of fraud and appropriation of property related to bank loans and was extradited to Can Tho City.

On the same day, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of National Defense also issued a decision to prosecute two officers of a bank with a branch in Ca Mau .

As reported, in relation to the above incident, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of National Defense has temporarily detained Ms. Pham Thi Huong, former General Director of CDV Company; Mr. Tang Gia Phong, former Deputy General Director of CDV Company.

In addition to the above people, there are 3 former leaders of CDV Company who were also prosecuted but were released on bail.
