The school has a long history
On February 20, 1906, the Asian Mechanical School (commonly known as Ba Nghe School), the predecessor of today's Cao Thang Technical College, was established.
The school was honored to be the place where the patriotic young man Nguyen Tat Thanh studied in 1911 before leaving Nha Rong port to board a ship to find a way to save the country. This was also the place where President Ton Duc Thang studied in the 1915-1917 school year.
