Hue City Center for Disease Control has injected anti-rabies serum and rabies vaccine, and instructed family members to give their children the full vaccination regimen according to regulations of the Ministry of Health .
According to the family, on the afternoon of September 24, the child was playing on the street when he was suddenly attacked by a neighbor's dog.
After the incident, the girl’s family took her to Hue Central Hospital for emergency treatment. There, doctors performed surgery to clean and stitch up the child’s wound.
Currently, the child is still being monitored and treated at Hue Central Hospital, and is still psychologically frightened.
Health experts recommend that families with small children should be extremely careful and avoid letting children come into close contact or play with pets, especially ferocious dogs. When children go out, adults should be there to avoid unfortunate accidents.
According to the leader of the Hue City Center for Disease Control, on the same day, the unit vaccinated 24 people bitten by dogs and cats against rabies.
