On the evening of July 7, at the historical site of the Vinh Loc - Mau Than 1968 Fireline Workers (Binh Chanh district), comrade Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, came to burn incense in memory of 32 fireline workers who sacrificed their lives in the "White Night of Vinh Loc" event, on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the sacrifice of 32 fireline workers in Vinh Loc - Mau Than 1968.

Here, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and the leaders of Binh Chanh district kindly encouraged and visited the surviving laborers. He listened to historical witnesses recounting the fierce stories on the land of Vinh Loc - the old fire belt. At the same time, he expressed deep gratitude to the 32 heroic laborers of Vinh Loc who sacrificed their own happiness for the common happiness of the people.

The sacrifice of 32 frontline laborers has become a shining example for future generations to remember and show gratitude for the noble sacrifices of previous generations and contribute to building a rich and beautiful homeland.

Through the survey of the relic site, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee highly appreciated the management and protection of the relic site. In recent times, the local government has paid attention to ensuring the relic site is spacious, dignified and respectful.

The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee listened to historical witnesses recounting the fierce stories of the land of Vinh Loc - the former ring of fire.

On this occasion, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee suggested that Binh Chanh district have solutions to propagate and widely introduce the values ​​and historical significance of the event "White Night of Vinh Loc". Along with that, regularly pay attention to and pay gratitude to the frontline workers who are still alive, and the families and relatives of the martyrs.

Previously, on the same morning, the District Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Chanh district held the 55th Memorial Ceremony for 32 laborers on the Vinh Loc - Mau Than 1968 frontline.

Every year, on the 20th day of the 5th lunar month, leaders, authorities at all levels and people of Vinh Loc hold a memorial service to commemorate the noble sacrifice of 32 heroic sons of Vinh Loc.

At the same time, it is also an opportunity for former laborers to return to the "old fields" to burn incense in memory of their compatriots, comrades, and teammates, and to recall together the heroic and tragic memories.
