After listening to reports from the Construction Project Management Board and construction units, the Provincial Party Secretary assessed that the implementation progress is still slow, especially in the context that the project is in the final year of the 2021-2025 period.
Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai requested contractors to focus on human resources and equipment, speed up construction, and complete important items on schedule to put the project into use, meeting people's expectations and the requirements for developing the province's health system.
The project is built on an area of over 12 hectares in Hoa Thanh ward (Ca Mau city), with a total investment of over 3,320 billion VND. However, so far, only package No. 8 (leveling the ground, gate, fence, guard house) has been completed. Large packages such as No. 27 (main building, water supply and drainage, pile load testing) and No. 60 (mental hospital, infectious disease, technical) are being implemented but still slow.
In 2025, the project was allocated more than VND2,200 billion in public investment capital. However, as of July 30, only more than VND469 billion had been disbursed. With the current progress, the possibility of disbursing all remaining capital within the year is very difficult, while the project belongs to the 2021-2025 investment phase and is entering the final stage.
