In order to preserve and promote the fine traditional cultural values of the Stieng people, recently, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Phuoc province coordinated with the Department of Culture and Information of Hon Quan district, local authorities and the Stieng community in Thanh An commune to restore the Stieng people's peace-praying festival.
At the ceremony, delegates and people witnessed the celebrant and village elders, prestigious people, and seniors performing the peace-praying ritual. In the sacred space, the sound of drums and gongs blended together, creating a solemn and emotional atmosphere.
The Stieng people's peace-praying festival has profound meaning, praying for favorable weather, bountiful crops and a prosperous and happy life for the whole community.
During the festival, villagers sincerely perform traditional rituals, offer offerings and pray for gods to bless good crops and good health for the villagers./.
