On June 15 and 16, a working delegation of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command led by Colonel Dao Viet Hung, Commander of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard, inspected the border situation, met and presented gifts to the border protection force of Mondulkiri province, Cambodia.
Checking the situation on the border section of more than 71km and listening to the commanders of the Border Guard Stations report on the results of border management and protection work, combat readiness work of the units shows that: Currently, the units have synchronously and comprehensively deployed border protection measures, strictly implemented combat readiness work and ensured security and safety for the fifth session of the 15th National Assembly . In particular, maintaining 24/24 hour duty at fixed posts and organizing over 21 patrol, control and ambush teams on the border; in particular, the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command has increased 20 officers of the command agency, 3 trainers and 3 service dogs to strictly control the border, promptly prevent illegal entry and exit activities, especially law violators trying to cross the border to Cambodia to escape arrest.

At the inspected units, Colonel Dao Viet Hung, Commander of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard, requested officers and soldiers to overcome difficulties, unite, uphold spirit, responsibility, and determination, and complete assigned tasks well. Focus on firmly grasping the internal and external border situation; avoid being passive and surprised, promptly handle situations, and resolutely prevent law violators and illegal border crossers. Coordinate well with the border protection force of Mondulkiri province, Cambodia in border management, protection, and the fight against all types of crimes. At the same time, in the 4 border communes, units proactively coordinate closely with local authorities and forces in managing the area and subjects; propagate and mobilize people to promptly detect and denounce law violators and subjects showing signs of illegal border crossing.
Also during the working trip, the delegation met, exchanged information and presented gifts to the border protection forces of Mondulkiri province, Cambodia at border marker No. 42, sub-markers No. 44 and 46. At the meeting, Colonel Dao Viet Hung informed about the situation related to security and order in Dak Lak province recently and hoped that the units of Mondulkiri Military Sub-region and Mondulkiri Provincial Police Department would continue to coordinate more closely with the Border Guard Stations of Dak Lak province in exchanging information; fighting and preventing all kinds of crimes that violate the law in the border area. Thereby, contributing to building a peaceful , friendly, cooperative and developed border.

On behalf of the border protection force of Mondulkiri province, Cambodia, Colonel Preak Van Tha, Deputy Commander of Mondulkiri Military Sub-region, thanked the sentiments of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard in the past time, especially in the difficult traffic conditions from the district center to the stationed areas of the Cambodian border protection force, and the food and provisions of officers and soldiers were not guaranteed. The concern both materially and spiritually of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard was very timely and appreciated. The Deputy Commander of Mondulkiri Military Sub-Region also said: From June 12, the Mondulkiri Military Sub-Region has deployed 50 additional soldiers to Ko Nhec district (Mondulkiri province) and the Mondulkiri Provincial Police Department has deployed 59 additional soldiers to 3 Border Police Stations on the border section adjacent to Dak Lak province to conduct investigation and prevent all types of law violators in the border area, ensure security and safety during the upcoming Cambodian National Assembly election and coordinate with the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard in managing and firmly protecting the territorial sovereignty and national border security of the two countries.
