The National Assembly Standing Committee has just announced resolutions on personnel work, including the transfer and appointment of assistant to Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh.

Accordingly, the National Assembly Standing Committee resolved to transfer and appoint Mr. Pham Trong Cuong, assistant to former member of the Politburo , former Standing member of the Secretariat, former head of the Central Organization Committee, to hold the position of assistant to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly.

Mr. Pham Trong Cuong was born in 1975, his hometown is Thai Binh province. He has 23 years of working experience at the Ministry of Justice; the National Assembly's Committee on Social Affairs (now the Social Committee), the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization, and the Central Organizing Committee.

He has held many positions such as Secretary of the Committee on Social Affairs, Deputy Director of the Department of Social Affairs, Director - Secretary of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization.

In May 2021, he transferred to the Central Organizing Committee and held the position of head and secretary of the Central Organizing Committee. In August 2023, he was appointed as assistant to the Politburo member, permanent member of the Secretariat, and head of the Central Organizing Committee.

Resign a deputy director to retire according to personal wishes

The National Assembly Standing Committee also resolved to approve the dismissal of Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thuy from the position of Vice Chairwoman of the Science, Technology and Environment Committee of the 15th National Assembly. Ms. Thuy retired at her personal request.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thuy continues to perform the duties of a deputy of the 15th National Assembly and a member of the 15th Committee on Science, Technology and Environment as prescribed. This Resolution takes effect from September 1, 2024.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thuy was born in 1968, from Ben Tre. She has a master's degree in management and conservation of plant genetic resources, a bachelor's degree in aquaculture, and a bachelor's degree in English.

During her career, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thuy held positions such as Deputy Director and then Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Ben Tre province; Director of the Investment Promotion Center of Ben Tre province.

Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ben Tre Province, 14th term; Standing Member of the Science, Technology and Environment Committee of the 14th National Assembly.

Since July 2021, she has been Deputy Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment.

Along with that, the National Assembly Standing Committee approved Mr. Tran Viet Anh , full-time member of the Committee on Culture and Education, to hold the position of standing member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the 15th National Assembly.

Mr. Tran Viet Anh was born in 1975, from Quang Nam. He has a doctorate in architecture.

He used to work at the Hanoi Old Quarter Management Board, Deputy Director of the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center and Director of the Project Management Board for Conservation and Restoration of Co Loa Relic Site - Hanoi Citadel; Deputy Director of the Center for Hanoi Studies and Capital Development.

The National Assembly Standing Committee also reappointed Mr. Pham Dinh Toan, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office, to continue holding the position of Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office from August 25, 2024 until reaching the prescribed retirement age.

Mr. Toan was born in 1966, from Thai Binh, has a PhD in finance and banking. Mr. Toan has worked for many years at the National Assembly Office. He is a National Assembly delegate of the 14th and 15th terms.
