Ca Mau: Chairman and Vice Chairman of Vinh Trach Ward resign

On the morning of July 26, Mr. Ngo Hieu Dan, Secretary of Vinh Trach Ward, Ca Mau Province, confirmed that Chairman of the Ward People's Committee Bui Thanh Trieu and Vice Chairman of the Ward People's Committee Tran Bang Phi had submitted their resignations. Both resigned due to health reasons. The resignations are currently awaiting review.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Bui Thanh Trieu (born in 1973, former Deputy Chief Inspector of the former Bac Lieu province, assigned to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Trach ward from July 1) said that he had a history of cerebral hemorrhage since 2021, his family was single, his parents were old (father 83 years old, mother 75 years old). Therefore, when he was assigned to take on the task of Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Trach ward, he had many worries: in the beginning, there was a lot of work and the field was new, so he encountered many difficulties. Many times when handling the work, he felt "unable to flow", his physical condition was tired, so he was afraid that it would affect the agency and the common work of the collective.

Mr. Bui Thanh Trieu informed that for the above reason, on July 15, he submitted a request to the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee, the Organizing Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee to resign from August 1. "My wish is for the organization to resolve and soon arrange someone to replace me," Mr. Bui Thanh Trieu expressed.

Similarly, Mr. Tran Bang Phi (born in 1976, former Head of the Department of Education and Training of the old Bac Lieu City, assigned to hold the position of Vice Chairman of Vinh Trach Ward People's Committee from July 1) also submitted a resignation letter from August 1.

Mr. Tran Bang Phi said, "I quit my job for health reasons and no other reason." He has heart disease and had 3 coronary stents placed in 2021. "I also want to contribute to the locality, but my health is not good and I am afraid of affecting the general work of the agency, so I quit. While waiting for the solution, I will still try my best, not be negligent and still be responsible for my work," Mr. Tran Bang Phi pledged.
