Local units actively prevent storm No. 10

Faced with the complicated and unpredictable developments of storm No. 10, the Da Nang City Party Committee issued an urgent dispatch, directing its subordinate Party committees, the Party Committee of the City People's Committee and Party Committee members to proactively deploy storm prevention and control work.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of An Hai Ward requested functional units to prepare forces, vehicles, and rescue equipment to respond to the storm. At the same time, deploy measures to ensure the safety of people and property, especially in tourist areas, coastal areas, and riverside areas.

The Economic - Infrastructure and Urban Department of An Hai Ward is assigned to coordinate with relevant units to mobilize maximum human resources to clear sewers and water intakes; remove manhole covers; and trim trees to prevent them from falling during the 2025 storm season. The Department must also develop a plan to ensure environmental sanitation before, during and after the storm.

The ward's Department of Culture and Society was asked to proactively work with local schools to deploy response plans for storm Bualoi.

The Public Service Delivery Center stepped up propaganda about storm No. 10, mobilized people to clear water intakes and prepare rescue forces. The Center also coordinated with the Son Tra Project Management Board to direct construction projects, especially high-rise buildings, to strictly implement measures to ensure safety for construction projects and people's property.

Work to support fishermen in moving boats to storm shelters is being urgently deployed by authorities.

The ward police force and Son Tra Border Guard Station are required to mobilize forces and means to be ready to respond, ensure security and order, safety of property and boats. Schools and medical stations must organize disaster prevention shifts. Other agencies and units need to maintain close contact to promptly handle arising situations. The Fatherland Front and organizations are responsible for propagating and mobilizing people to reinforce houses, clear sewers and clean up residential areas.

At the same time, the Da Nang Border Guard fired flares to call and prohibit boats from going out to sea according to regulations. The force was also on duty, coordinating with local authorities to guide fishermen at Tho Quang fishing port to tie up their boats safely, ready to respond to storm No. 10.

Da Nang Drainage and Wastewater Treatment Company also urgently deployed a plan to respond to storm Bualoi, including: closely monitoring weather developments, clearing inlets and outlets, operating pumping stations and lowering water levels at regulating lakes; checking all machinery, equipment, and backup generators; bracing and reinforcing aquatic rafts and repairing damage; arranging on-duty forces to ensure construction safety and promptly handle flooding incidents.
