According to AppleInsider , for millions of people still using older iPhones, the Lightning port sometimes brings a lot of trouble. But now, a "magic" solution has appeared with a case that can upgrade your iPhone to USB-C without any complicated technical operations.

Unique case with USB-C port for old iPhones

The inventor of this invention is Ken Pillonel, an engineer who is famous in the technology community for creating the world's first iPhone with a USB-C port in 2021. After many years of development, he turned that single project into a product that anyone can use.

This case simply snaps onto the iPhone like any other case, and instantly provides a fully functional USB-C port that supports fast charging, full-speed data transfer, and Apple CarPlay. What’s special is that inside the case there’s a custom circuit that connects directly to the device’s Lightning port, making it work reliably and avoiding common errors found on cheap adapters.

Pillonel says he created the product as a response to the “planned obsolescence” of tech companies. He wants users to be able to extend the life of their old devices, giving them a “new lease of life” without having to rush to upgrade.

In a video recently released on YouTube, Pillonel shows off the case in full working order. While the product isn't officially on sale yet, it shows great potential and is seen as an interesting "stepping stone" for those who want to experience the convenience of USB-C before deciding to buy a new iPhone.
