Officials and union members of the Central Agency of the Vietnam Journalists Association enthusiastically participated in the cooking contest.

Participating in the contest are union members, workers of departments and units of 6 union groups in the Central Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association . The teams will compete in cooking with the theme of family meals, each team will cook a family meal for 6 people, with basic ingredients, spices, and stoves prepared by the organizers.

The Trade Union of the Central Agency of the Vietnam Journalists Association organized the first cooking contest "Journalists in the kitchen - Connecting love".

Team members must cook within a certain time limit, and are not allowed to use pre-cooked food. Each team has 3 minutes to present the content and meaning of the dish. The organizers will monitor the preparation and cooking stages, ensuring hygiene throughout the entire process.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the cooking contest “Journalists in the kitchen - Connecting love”, journalist Le Tran Nguyen Huy, Acting Editor-in-Chief of the Journalists and Public Opinion Newspaper - Chairman of the Trade Union of the Central Agency of the Vietnam Journalists Association, said that modern life brings convenience to people, but sometimes also takes away profound values. When my generation was young, we ate home-cooked meals three times a day, and did not know about “eating out”.

When we grow up, when we have a chance to sit together, the stories of our childhood also return to the meal table. It is like a lasting connection, so that even if there are conflicts that arise when we sit together at the meal table, each person has a sad story to remember, and then the big things become small, the small things become nothing. Because we are all brothers and sisters, we have had happy moments around the simple meal table.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of life, people have to race against time and work, but each person needs to know how to arrange everything harmoniously to have precious moments for family, to gather around the dinner table after a working day.

That is the reason why the Trade Union of the Central Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association wants to have a day when all members, regardless of gender, come together in the kitchen, to connect with love, to see that life, no matter what kind of luxury it covers, no matter what you do, where you are, or how far you go, still wants to come back to have a family meal.

Mr. Thai Hoai Nam, Vice President of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union, said that in recent years, the Trade Union of the Central Agency of the Vietnam Journalists' Association has done a good job in women's work, including organizing patriotic emulation movements among female cadres, union members and workers. The movement "Good at public work, good at housework" of the unit has become a beautiful tradition, contributing to enhancing the position and role of women in all areas of work, society and family.

Through that, the women's Union of the Central Agency of the Vietnam Journalists Association affirmed its important role and made contributions to the strong and comprehensive development of the Vietnam Journalists Association.

The cooking contest “Journalists in the kitchen - Connecting love” is not only an occasion to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union but also for each cadre, civil servant and employee of the Trade Union of the Central Agency of the Vietnam Journalists Association to demonstrate their talents and the meaningful role of family in modern life, contributing to raising awareness about the quality of family life and preserving the nation's culinary culture.

This is also an opportunity for each union officer to affirm that he or she is not only good at professional expertise but also skillful and good at housework, where everyone learns to strengthen solidarity among all officers, civil servants and workers.

Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi assessed that the Cooking Contest is one of the activities with practical significance to create a useful playground for officials and employees of the Central Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association to demonstrate their talents, roles and significance of family in modern life, contributing to raising awareness about the quality of family life and preserving the culinary culture of the Vietnamese people.

The Journalist and Public Opinion Newspaper Union introduces traditional dishes that are not only nutritious, diverse, aesthetically pleasing, and delicious, but also ensure food hygiene and safety.

This is also an opportunity for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers working in the Central Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association to affirm that they are not only good at professional expertise but also skillful and good at housework. It is an activity to exchange, learn and strengthen solidarity among all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the unit.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the Special Prize to the Office Trade Union Group - Vietnam Journalists Association; First Prize to the Journalists and Public Opinion Newspaper Trade Union Group; Second Prize to the Vietnam Journalists Association Electronic Information Portal Trade Union Group; Third Prize to the Association Work Committee and the Press Culture Center. 4 Encouragement Prizes to the Trade Union Groups: Vietnam Journalists Association Professional Committee; Center for Journalism Training; Vietnam Journalism Museum; and Nguoi Lam Bao Magazine.
