Recently, BOOKAS Joint Stock Company and other units launched the "Writing to Heal" contest on the BOOKAS audiobook application platform as well as on the "Writing to Heal" fanpage. The contest has been running for about 9 days (from June 26, 2025) and during this time, BOOKAS discovered a group of subjects with signs of fraud to profit through a fake contest fanpage named "Writing to Heal 2025 Contest".
Mr. Vy Thien Hung, representative of the organizing committee of the contest, said that from the first days of announcement, the contest has attracted a lot of attention from readers and young writers. In addition, with the contest format applied digital transformation, writers are extremely excited to experience and try their hand. Taking advantage of this psychology and the heat of the contest, impersonators have deceived people who are willing to pay to join the BOOKAS forum. Meanwhile, the "Writing to Heal" contest is completely free.
“The subjects took advantage of our contest image to scam contestants, initially requiring contestants to transfer 680,000 VND to their charity fund. After that, this group of subjects proceeded to refund the money to the contestants' accounts to gain their trust. Next, this group asked the contestants to transfer 2,980,000 VND to complete the contest registration form. At this point, some contestants realized the signs of fraud by this group and reported it to the official fanpage of the Writing to Heal contest. The impostors were extremely sophisticated, using the entire identity, images, and content posted by the organizers in the contest group to take advantage of readers' trust," said Mr. Vy Thien Hung.
According to the organizers, currently, information about the "Writing to Heal" contest is only officially posted on the "Writing to Heal" group with 13,000 members; the official BOOKAS fanpage (695 likes • 734 followers) at https://www.facebook.com/bookas.vn/ and website: bookas.vn/cuoc-thi-viet-chua-lanh-giai-thuong-len-den-hon-1ty-dong/.
