Part of Thanh Tri ward, Hoang Mai district also lost power for many hours.

Yen Hoa Street, Trung Hoa, Cau Giay District also had a power outage on June 8, although the EVN Hanoi website confirmed that "power supply was not stopped".

Similarly, many areas in Nam Tu Liem district also had power outages from 9am to 11am on June 8. Dong Anh, Phuc Tho, Dan Phuong, Quoc Oai, Phu Xuyen, Thach That, Thuong Tin districts... also recorded power outages.

Regarding this issue, EVN Hanoi media representative said that Hanoi has tried its best to handle the problem of electricity transmission and distribution. However, it still cannot be solved completely. Most areas have power outages. Some areas have timely notification, some have not.

“For areas that have been reported to have power outages without notice, most of them are forced power outages. This means that the area is in a state of threat to the safety of the power line, forcing the power supply to be stopped immediately. Forced power outages cannot be notified in time,” explained a representative of EVN Hanoi.

According to the representative of EVN Hanoi, the electricity industry is facing a period of tension and crisis. The Ministry of Industry and Trade, together with the Electricity Corporation, has stepped in to handle, resolve, and admit its mistakes.
