274 billion bridge connecting Da Nang

Da Nang proposed to hand over the entire Quang Da bridge and lighting system to the city for management, while the approach road to the bridge in Quang Nam will be managed by this province.

On November 15, the Department of Transport of Da Nang City said that the City People's Committee is seeking opinions from the People's Committee of Quang Nam Province on the handover and management of Quang Da Bridge after the project is completed and put into operation.

Accordingly, the Quang Da bridge and approach road project has a total investment of more than VND 274 billion, starting construction on December 14, 2023, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

The project aims to enhance traffic connectivity between Da Nang and Quang Nam, contributing to promoting socio -economic development of the two localities.

The Quang Da bridge project items located in Quang Nam province include a 104m long bridge, a 5m long approach road, a lighting system and trees.

The People's Committee of Da Nang City proposed a plan to hand over the entire bridge and lighting system to Da Nang for management, while the approach road to the bridge in Quang Nam will be managed by Quang Nam province.

At the same time, to ensure effective management, Da Nang has established a coordination regulation between the functional forces of the two localities to resolve related situations such as property damage, traffic accidents and ensuring safe corridors.

In addition, to facilitate the handover process, the People's Committee of Da Nang city is seeking opinions from the People's Committee of Quang Nam province on this management and handover plan.

It is known that Quang Da bridge crosses Yen river, has a total length of more than 1.4km. Of which, the bridge is 204m long and 22m wide, the approach road at both ends of the bridge is more than 1.2km long.

The starting point of the route intersects with National Highway 14B at Km 31+087 (in Hoa Khuong commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city) and the end point connects with the Northern belt road project of Quang Nam province (in Dien Tien commune, Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province).
